Dense Fog Disrupts Lahore, Motorways Closed Near City

Dense fog has once again engulfed Lahore and surrounding areas, intensifying as night fell and significantly reducing visibility in several locations. Due to zero visibility near motorway sections, the Lahore–Sialkot Motorway was temporarily closed, while heavy traffic was restricted on the Lahore–Multan Motorway (M-3). Motorway Police said closures were imposed as a safety measure and routes would reopen once visibility improves. Travellers have been advised to prefer daytime travel and exercise caution on alternative routes at night by reducing speed and using fog lights. Persistent fog conditions continue to disrupt mobility, daily routines, and overall urban functionality in Lahore during winter.
