Islamabad: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP), chaired by Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, approved three development projects worth more than Rs11.71 billion and referred two projects worth over Rs48.54 billion to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) for approval. The approved projects include a Medical and Nursing College in Gilgit, the National Defence University FCS Campus in Islamabad and a 53.4-kilometre road from Zera to Dabori in Orakzai. The Karachi Neighbourhood Improvement Project and a water supply project for Gwadar Town from Mirani Dam were referred to Ecnec. Ahsan Iqbal also directed officials to study a wastewater treatment project to prevent sewage pollution in the sea around Gwadar.
