Big Relief for Land Buyers as Punjab Launches Online Land Record Access

The Punjab government has introduced a major digital facility allowing citizens to access land ownership records from home, eliminating the need to visit government offices. Through the new ROD (Record of Deeds) portal, residents can download verified land record information within seconds—without recommendations, long queues, or paperwork. Officials said the system aims to enhance transparency, reduce fraud, and permanently curb the influence of land-grabbing mafias. The government stated that only the rightful owner will now have legal possession rights. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has led multiple reforms to secure land data, ensure digital verification, and protect citizens from property-related fraud. Users can access the service by visiting rod.pulse.gop.pk. The initiative marks a major shift toward safe, digital and transparent land management in Punjab.
