The Punjab Government Servants Housing Foundation is the main institution in charge of the planned development and provision of housing for provincial government employees. It was formed under the PGSHF Act, 2004, in place of scattered departmental welfare housing initiatives. The foundation monitors membership, land allocation, and infrastructural development and regulates construction in order to promote orderly and sustainable housing schemes.
PGSHF is also instrumental in the control of development standards, development of the number of public services and the implementation of large-scale housing projects in the province. These functionalities have enabled it to influence the physical development of residential schemes and better infrastructure and planning systems and the management of schemes as a whole. PGSHF operates on specialized wings which are used to plan and coordinate planning, infrastructure and service delivery. These are:
- Engineering Wing
- Admin & Finance Wing
