Karachi Gets New Pink Bus Route for Women

The Sindh government has announced a new route for Karachi’s women-only Pink Bus Service, which will officially begin operations on 17 November 2025. The dedicated route will run from Abdullah Chowk to Numaish, providing a safer and more reliable commuting option for women during peak hours. According to Provincial Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, the service will operate at three fixed timings daily: 8–9am, 1–2pm, and 5–7pm, ensuring coverage during school, office, and evening travel hours. Each bus features security cameras, real-time tracking systems, and trained female staff to ensure a secure travel experience. The government also plans to expand the network to additional areas, supporting improved mobility, education access, and employment opportunities for women across Karachi.
