Punjab to launch sewerage, drainage and paved street projects in over 3,500 villages

Punjab: The provincial government has announced plans to start sewerage, drainage and paved street development projects in more than 3,500 villages across Punjab. Under the Model Village Project, community-based organisations will be introduced to support development activities and ensure effective implementation. Assistant commissioners, community health mobilisers, union council secretaries, headmasters and other relevant officials will participate in monitoring these initiatives. Members of the assembly will also oversee rural development projects to ensure the provision of basic facilities and improve living standards in villages.
