Peshawar: Construction on the Kabutar Chowk Underpass at Ring Road is continuing, with the latest site update showing concrete work underway on the water-drainage system tank, marking another important stage in the project’s development.
The underpass is part of the wider Peshawar Revitalisation Plan. Official information from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s Office confirms that the project was launched in June 2026 with an estimated cost of around Rs1.989 billion and an original completion target of 60 days.
The provincial government has said that underpasses and flyovers at Kabutar Chowk, Hayatabad Toll Plaza, Hazar Khwani and other locations are being developed to improve traffic flow and urban mobility across Peshawar.
The latest drainage-tank concreting activity indicates that work remains active at the site, although this specific day-to-day construction update has not yet been independently detailed in an official progress report.
