Job Description
Grand City is looking for a talented, experienced, and technically strong Architect to join our team in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have solid professional experience in architectural design and project coordination, with the ability to independently handle design assignments, lead architectural workstreams, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and guide junior team members.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage architectural design assignments from concept development through detailed design and execution.
Develop and review 2D architectural drawings, layouts, plans, elevations, sections, and working drawings.
Prepare 3D models, architectural visualizations, renders, presentations, and design proposals.
Develop architectural concepts for residential, commercial, infrastructure, building, and interior projects.
Translate design concepts into practical, technically sound, and construction-ready drawings.
Prepare and review detailed architectural drawings and construction documentation.
Coordinate architectural designs with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, interior, and other engineering disciplines.
Lead coordination with project managers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and site teams.
Conduct site visits, site measurements, inspections, and design coordination meetings.
Review site conditions and provide appropriate architectural solutions to resolve design and execution issues.
Review drawings and deliverables prepared by junior architects and provide technical/design guidance.
Guide and mentor junior architects, draftsmen, and design team members.
Ensure architectural drawings and documentation are accurate, coordinated, and issued within project timelines.
Review shop drawings, material samples, finishes, and technical submissions where required.
Assist in preparing BOQ-related architectural information, material specifications, schedules, and project documentation.
Coordinate design changes and incorporate feedback from management, clients, consultants, and site teams.
Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, regulations, planning requirements, design standards, and project specifications.
Maintain proper documentation and revision control for drawings and project deliverables.
Identify design and execution challenges and proactively recommend practical solutions.
Manage multiple projects or design assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Support senior management in design presentations, project reviews, and architectural decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognized institution
3–5 years of relevant professional experience in architecture, preferably with exposure to building, infrastructure, commercial, residential, or interior projects.
Strong command of 2D architectural drafting and 3D architectural design.
Proven ability to independently develop architectural designs and take ownership of assigned projects.
Strong knowledge of architectural drawings, construction documentation, detailing, materials, and building systems.
Practical understanding of construction methods, site execution, and architectural coordination.
Experience coordinating with engineering, construction, consultant, and project teams.
Ability to review and guide the work of junior architects and draftsmen.
Strong understanding of architectural design principles, proportions, materials, spatial planning, and detailing.
Strong communication, presentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain drawing and documentation accuracy.
Ability to work independently while effectively leading and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
