Ishaq Dar and Belarus Foreign Minister Agree to Expand Trade and Defence Cooperation

Cholpon-Ata: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Council of Foreign Ministers meeting in Kyrgyzstan. The two sides reviewed Pakistan–Belarus relations and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in trade, economy, defence, agriculture, technology and workforce exchange. They also discussed preparations for the 9th Pakistan–Belarus Joint Ministerial Commission, scheduled to be hosted by Pakistan in Islamabad on 11–12 August 2026. Both ministers reiterated support for the Roadmap for Comprehensive Cooperation 2025–2027 and exchanged views on regional developments and matters of mutual interest.
