Pakistan Railways posts record Rs11.93bn freight and land revenue

Lahore: Pakistan Railways has achieved record revenue from freight and land during financial year 2025-26, showing more than double growth compared to the previous year. According to the report, Railways collected around Rs. 11.93 billion this year, while last year’s revenue stood at Rs. 4.92 billion. The Lahore Region played the leading role in this recovery by contributing Rs. 3.12 billion to the railway treasury. Officials say all regions, branches, and concerned officers contributed to the improved performance. DG Property and Land Shahid Malik appreciated the efforts of the teams and said preparations will be made to further increase revenue in the coming year.
