Karachi’s Surjani gets new 24-hour NADRA Mega Centre

Karachi: Sindh Governor Syed Nehal Hashmi has inaugurated a new NADRA Mega Centre in Surjani Town to improve access to identity registration and documentation services for residents of the area and nearby localities. The facility includes 20 one-window service counters, separate counters for elderly and differently-abled citizens, and a waiting area with seating capacity for around 200 people. Officials say the centre can serve more than 2,000 applicants within 24 hours, helping reduce pressure on other NADRA offices in Karachi. Better civic documentation supports banking, property verification, tenancy records, business activity, and public service access, which indirectly strengthens urban confidence. Can faster citizen services improve Karachi’s administrative efficiency?
