Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the establishment of the Punjab Asset Management Authority (AMAP) to centralize management of provincial assets and lands. The authority will handle identification, valuation, transfer, marketing, and leasing of government properties, ensuring transparent revenue generation and efficient administration. AMAP will operate under a high-powered board led by the Chief Secretary Punjab and will employ skilled professionals from both the public and private sectors. The initiative aims to safeguard provincial assets, reduce illegal encroachments, improve financial returns, and strengthen long-term governance of public resources.
