Lahore: Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) and the Literacy & Non-Formal Basic Education Department have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at achieving a 100% literacy rate across all villages within Ravi City. The agreement focuses on expanding educational opportunities alongside urban development, ensuring that local communities benefit from both infrastructure and social progress. NESPAK is supporting the initiative through donor coordination and assistance in revamping non-formal schools into modern learning environments. Representatives from JICA, UNICEF, and NESPAK also attended the ceremony, highlighting strong institutional support for the project. The initiative is expected to enhance human capital, strengthen community development, and increase the long-term attractiveness of Ravi City for residents and investors. Can education-driven development make Ravi City a model for future urban projects?
