Nankana Sahib launches major sewerage development plan

Muhammad Muzamil Awan : Nankana Sahib : Deputy Commissioner Tasleem Akhtar Rao chaired an important development meeting at the district headquarters, where officials briefed participants on ongoing beautification and infrastructure projects under the Punjab Development Program. The city’s sewerage system will cost Rs5.99 billion, while 89 kilometers of sewerage lines are being laid across Nankana city. The plan includes upgrading old and new systems, constructing drains, installing manhole covers, setting up new disposal stations, improving existing stations, restoring streets, roads, and markets, and ensuring clean water supply. The city has also been divided into three zones for effective implementation. These projects can improve urban living, drainage safety, commercial activity, and property value. Can this 25-year plan transform Nankana into a modern international-standard city?
