5.2 magnitude earthquake jolts Islamabad, Rawalpindi without damage

Islamabad: Earthquake tremors measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and nearby areas, briefly alarming residents. According to the Seismological Centre, the quake originated near the Tajikistan–China border at a depth of 128 kilometres. Despite the intensity, no casualties or property damage have been reported. Earlier, a 3.9 magnitude tremor also struck Khuzdar and surrounding areas in Balochistan, causing panic but no losses. This development falls under the Weather category as seismic activity continues to be monitored across the region.
