Punjab reviews issues of visually impaired, pushes quota enforcement

Muhammad Muzamil Awan : Lahore: A review meeting chaired by Director General Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Punjab Dr. Shehnshah Faisal Azeem was held with representatives of visually impaired persons to address their challenges. Participants highlighted key issues including effective enforcement of the 3 percent job quota in private institutions, implementation of 50 percent transport fare concessions, and regular meetings of District Welfare and Rehabilitation Units. The DG directed authorities to strengthen coordination with Chambers of Commerce, district administrations, and relevant bodies to ensure compliance. Officials also agreed to compile data of private institutions across districts and formally present demands at relevant forums for timely resolution.
