Lahore traffic police sets daily challan targets to improve discipline

Ali Raza Wajid: Lahore: Traffic Police has introduced daily challan targets for wardens as part of a campaign to improve traffic discipline across the city. Officials stated that wardens have been directed to issue a minimum number of challans daily, while additional checks on driving licenses and documentation will be conducted at checkpoints. Authorities highlighted that stricter enforcement measures, including increased field monitoring and blacklisting of e-challan defaulters, will be implemented. Additional personnel have also been deployed on major roads and entry points to ensure compliance. Experts believe that while the move may improve road safety and law enforcement, public awareness campaigns will be essential to ensure better understanding and compliance among citizens.
