WASA Gujrat reviews safety measures in ongoing sewerage projects

Gujrat: The Punjab WASA Health and Safety Consultant, Colonel (R) Fawad, visited multiple ongoing sewerage development projects in Gujrat to review safety arrangements under the Punjab Development Programme. Officials briefed him on key sites including disposal stations and drainage infrastructure projects. Authorities highlighted that strict safety protocols are being implemented at construction sites, including provision of helmets, safety gear, warning signs and secure excavation measures. The consultant expressed satisfaction over the safety standards and directed further improvements in line with international practices. Experts believe that ensuring safety compliance in infrastructure projects not only protects workers but also enhances project efficiency and public trust.
