Punjab: Following a major reduction in petroleum prices, Provincial Minister for Transport Bilal Akbar Khan has initiated steps to reduce transport fares across the province. Officials stated that instructions have been issued to relevant authorities to finalize and implement new fare lists, with an expected reduction of up to 25%. Teams have been formed in all districts to ensure compliance, while transport operators are being engaged to adjust fares in line with lower fuel costs. Authorities emphasized strict action against overcharging and directed all RTA offices to submit reports. The initiative aims to provide direct financial relief to the public and improve affordability in daily commuting.
