Pink Button emergency service launched in Murree to boost public safety

Murree: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has introduced the Pink Button emergency service to strengthen public safety in the hill station. The system enables residents and tourists to instantly alert local police by pressing a designated emergency button, ensuring a rapid response from the nearest unit. Authorities say Murree receives heavy tourist inflow throughout the year, making enhanced security and emergency preparedness essential. District Police Officer Raza Tanveer Sapra stated that the initiative will significantly improve response time during emergencies and provide timely assistance in urgent situations. Officials believe the service will enhance public confidence in law enforcement while creating a safer environment for both locals and visitors in Murree.
