Maryam Nawaz orders stricter security across Punjab for Ramazan

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed authorities to further tighten security arrangements across the province during the holy month of Ramazan. She ordered the deployment of additional personnel at mosques, imambargahs, markets, shopping centres and other public places to ensure the safety of citizens. The chief minister also instructed officials to install CCTV cameras, walkthrough gates and search lights where required, and to enhance police patrolling, snap checking and search operations around sensitive locations. A three-layer security plan has been ordered for major congregations, including Friday prayers and Taraweeh gatherings. Authorities have been told to ensure foolproof protection of life and property throughout Ramazan.
