Punjab allocates Rs 500m for Nasir Bagh parking and Walled City restoration

Lahore: The Punjab government has allocated Rs 500m for three development projects aimed at easing traffic congestion and restoring historic commercial zones. Rs 300m has been released for the Nasir Bagh underground parking plaza in Anarkali, while Rs 100m is allocated for another underground parking facility near Nasir Bagh underpass. Additionally, Rs 100m has been earmarked for the restoration of the historic corridor from Delhi Gate to Masala Market. The funds have been handed over to the Walled City of Lahore Authority with instructions to ensure full utilisation before June 30. Officials said the initiatives will enhance urban mobility, revive heritage markets, and stimulate commercial and tourism activity in Lahore’s historic core.
