Traffic Police Sets Up Safety Camps in Lahore for Basant

Lahore Traffic Police has set up a special safety camp on Shimla Pahari Main Road to protect citizens during the Basant festival. Under this initiative, free safety rods are being installed on motorcycles to prevent injuries caused by sharp kite strings. A large number of motorcyclists were seen lined up at the camp, where their identity cards and bike details are recorded before installation. Traffic Police officials said the step has been taken on the directives of the Punjab government to reduce accidents linked to kite flying. Motorcyclists welcomed the move, calling it timely and effective. Authorities added that similar safety camps will be established at other locations across the city to further ensure public safety.
