LAHORE: Beautification and renovation work is currently underway at Lahore’s historic and busiest Ichhra Bazaar to improve facilities for shoppers. Authorities said the market is being redesigned to make it more attractive, safe, and family-friendly, with a special focus on women visitors. As part of the project, separate and newly constructed washrooms are being developed exclusively for women to enhance convenience and hygiene. Officials stated that the initiative aims to improve the overall shopping experience, encourage family visits, and promote organized commercial activity in the area. The project is part of broader efforts to upgrade old markets while ensuring public safety and comfort in crowded commercial zones.
