Punjab Makes Housing Society Approvals Fully Online Under PSPA

Punjab Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafiq announced that the approval process for housing societies has been made fully online with the establishment of the Punjab Special Spatial Planning Authority (PSPA). Addressing a meeting at the Civil Secretariat, he said the Planning Support System has been linked with district dashboards, enabling transparent and timely approvals through the e-Construction Portal connected with Punjab’s e-Biz platform. The minister stated that PSPA will also review the regularization of housing schemes developed without approval while ensuring protection of green areas, forests, and agricultural land. He added that the authority will support housing, transport, industry, and environmental departments, reduce unnecessary NOCs, and strengthen investor confidence through transparency and digitization.
