Rs. 741 Million Road Project Launched in Bahawalpur

A road construction project worth Rs. 741.32 million has been launched in Bahawalpur as part of Punjab’s broader infrastructure development drive. The project was inaugurated by the Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar, under the “Restore Roads, Prosper Punjab” initiative aligned with the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Executed under the SAP-VII program, the scheme is being implemented in coordination with the Punjab Highway Department and the district administration. The project aims to upgrade road infrastructure in both urban and rural areas, improving mobility, reducing travel time, and enhancing access for residents. Officials stated that similar road construction and expansion projects are underway across Punjab as part of the government’s ongoing development and connectivity enhancement efforts.
