UAE Opens First Private Astronaut Training Centre

The UAE is preparing to open its first private astronaut training facility, the Human Spaceflight Training Center, developed by BLINC Space Limited with investor Prabhav Sharma. The center will specialize in astronaut readiness, space medicine, advanced simulations, and human performance, supporting both government-backed and commercial space missions. It aims to train hundreds of astronauts in the coming years and create high-tech employment opportunities for the region’s growing space sector. The project will also enable partnerships with leading global agencies, including NASA and ESA, marking a major milestone for the UAE’s space ambitions. Officials say the initiative strengthens the country’s long-term vision to become a key global hub in technology, innovation, and space exploration.
