Sukkur-Hyderabad (M6) Motorway Project Moves Forward Despite Funding Delays

The long-awaited Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway (M6) is set to move forward, with construction divided into five sections spanning Hyderabad, Tando Adam, Nawabshah, Naushahro Feroze, and Ranipur. Officials informed the National Assembly that the project has been delayed for over five years. While Rs. 70 billion is required for this fiscal year, only Rs. 30 billion has been allocated. Funding for different sections will come from public-private partnerships, the Islamic Development Bank, and the OPEC Fund. Authorities are reviewing the construction schedule and progress to ensure timely completion of this critical infrastructure project.
