State Bank Directs Banks Not to Block Accounts Without Legal Reason

Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan has directed all banks not to block customers’ accounts without a valid legal reason, proper approval from the competent authority, and complete verification. The directive has been issued to protect customers’ rights and ensure transparency in banking operations. Banks have been clearly told that no account can be blocked without following due legal process.
