Sharjah Launches ‘Sharjah Deserves the Best’ Campaign to Cut Single-Use Waste and Promote Reusable Alternatives

Sharjah has launched the “Sharjah Deserves the Best” campaign to reduce reliance on single-use products and encourage residents to adopt reusable and environmentally friendly alternatives. Led by the Department of Municipal Affairs, the campaign will continue until December 31, 2026, as part of the emirate’s broader sustainability efforts.

The initiative is being implemented in partnership with the Sharjah Government Media Bureau and in cooperation with BEEAH Group, the Environment and Protected Areas Authority, the Sharjah Private Education Authority and other government entities. Its focus is on responsible consumption, reuse and making sustainable practices part of everyday life.

An interactive platform featuring awareness and educational activities has also been introduced. Reusable shopping bags were distributed to shopping-centre visitors, while field events, media campaigns and digital content will be used to reach different age groups and sections of society. Officials say the campaign aims to create lasting environmental habits, conserve natural resources and improve quality of life across Sharjah.
