Punjab Unveils Multi-Billion Murree Tourism and Infrastructure Plan

Murree: The Punjab government has approved a multi-billion development package for Murree and surrounding areas under a comprehensive tourism and infrastructure plan. The projects include a glass train on a 40km route from Lake View Park to Murree Bus Stand, a new chairlift in Kotli Sattian, Punjab’s first paragliding centre, eco-friendly glamping pods, and a sky glass bridge. Restoration of historic buildings, removal of illegal multi-storey structures, road expansion, and development of parks and green areas are also planned. A 50-bed hospital in Bhurban and enhanced water supply schemes have been approved. Officials stated that over 70 roads have been completed, with additional schemes underway to transform Murree into a state-of-the-art tourism hub.
