Punjab to Upgrade 6,284 Streets Across Lahore

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched Phase II of the Lahore Development Plan, under which 6,284 streets across the city will be upgraded. According to the CM Office, WASA will improve 486 streets, while the Lahore Municipal Corporation will upgrade 5,798 streets by June next year. Officials presented a month-by-month progress plan during a review meeting to ensure steady work across all neighborhoods. Maryam Nawaz directed departments to maintain strict quality standards, avoid delays, and ensure visible improvements in every part of Lahore. The initiative aims to enhance the city’s appearance, cleanliness, and liveability, ensuring residents benefit from safer, better-developed, and more organized streets under this large-scale urban improvement programme.
