Punjab Approves Rs. 8.26 Billion for New Development Schemes

The Punjab Planning and Development Board has approved Rs. 8.26 billion for multiple development schemes during the 49th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party for FY 2025–26. Chaired by Dr. Naeem Rauf, the session approved major funding for sewerage systems, floodwater drainage, and road construction projects in Kabirwala, District Khanewal. The meeting also approved extension requests for the construction timelines of sports complexes in Rakh Shahdara, Singhpura China Scheme, Ghorumangat EME Society, Kahna, and Shalimar, Lahore. Senior officials including the Secretary P&D Board, Chief Economist, P&D Board members, and representatives of relevant departments attended the meeting.
