Punjab to rebuild Main Outfall Road in Lahore with Rs940 million uplift project

Lahore: The Punjab government has approved a major uplift and reconstruction project for Main Outfall Road in Lahore with an estimated cost of over Rs940 million. The project has been handed over to the Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency (TEPA), which will begin the tendering process with bids expected by March 25. Under the plan, new asphalt carpeting will be laid from Main Outfall Road to Lower Mall, while sidewalks will also be upgraded to improve pedestrian facilities. The project also includes beautification works such as the construction of an attractive fountain at CTO Chowk. Officials stated that the development will significantly improve road infrastructure and uplift surrounding localities including Outfall Road, Reticon Road and Ravi Road areas.
