Punjab Launches Pakistan’s First European-Style Road to Modernize Cities

Lahore – The Punjab government has initiated Pakistan’s first European-style road project under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s urban development plan. Designed to international standards, the project aims to improve city life by enhancing road safety, optimizing traffic flow, and providing cleaner, greener, and more pedestrian-friendly spaces. Wider sidewalks, landscaped public areas, and organized streetscapes are part of the design to offer safer, more attractive urban environments. Officials say the initiative represents the province’s commitment to modern, sustainable, and people-centric urban development.
