Punjab’s flagship housing initiative “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar,” launched under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has marked a major milestone with the completion of more than 64,000 houses across the province. During the first phase, 121,480 housing loans were disbursed to eligible families, providing affordable access to homeownership. Authorities confirmed that a second installment will soon be released to 21,390 families, while an additional 18,240 newly approved loans are also set to be issued. The programme has already recovered Rs 5.53 billion, reflecting effective financial discipline and transparency. Housing construction continues in both urban and rural areas, supported by province-wide offices and a simplified online application system to ensure wider public access.
