Pakistan Railways recovers Rs1.42bn KCR land in Karachi

Karachi: Pakistan Railways recovered 2.72 acres of Karachi Circular Railway land during an anti-encroachment operation near Ojha Campus, arresting 12 people and registering an FIR. Officials said the recovered land was part of the Old Karachi Circular Railway alignment and was allegedly being occupied illegally for a private housing project. The property is valued at more than Rs1.42 billion, making the operation a major step in efforts to protect national assets and curb land grabbing. The action was carried out with support from railway police and the district administration.
