Pakistan plans AI system for faster government coordination

Islamabad: The federal government is developing an AI-powered digital system aimed at improving coordination between ministries and enhancing transparency in governance. According to officials, the platform will function as a centralized system to track government decisions, tasks, and policy implementation in real time. A sovereign GPT-based research tool developed by the Pakistan Digital Authority has also been introduced, which can quickly retrieve past government orders, policies, and directives to assist officers in decision-making. The system will allow the Prime Minister’s Office to directly issue instructions to departments while monitoring progress and delays through automated alerts. Authorities believe this initiative will improve accountability, reduce administrative delays, and enhance overall efficiency in public sector operations.
