Pakistan Considering Import of Cheap Oil and Gas from Iran

Islamabad: Federal Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik has said that Pakistan is considering importing cheaper oil and natural gas from Iran. He noted that falling global energy prices after the easing of regional tensions could provide an opportunity to reduce import costs. The government is exploring options to strengthen energy security and offer greater relief to consumers while ensuring compliance with international commitments.
