Online Registration Eased for Punjab’s Home Ownership Scheme

The Punjab government has announced that registration for the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ (My Roof, My Home) housing program is now simpler and fully online, allowing citizens to apply from home. The initiative, led by the Housing Department, aims to make homeownership more accessible for low- and middle-income families.
So far, 30,600 houses have been completed, and 105,700 families have received loans to build homes. Additionally, 69,200 families have obtained their second loan installments to continue construction. Early repayment incentives include a 20% discount for those who repay within 1–3 years, and 10% for payments made within 4–6 years. The updated online system ensures faster, transparent, and hassle-free registration, enhancing the program’s reach and efficiency.
