Pakistan: The upcoming M-13 Kharian–Rawalpindi Motorway is expected to significantly reduce travel distance between Lahore and Islamabad by nearly 100 kilometers, saving approximately one hour for commuters. Designed as a modern six-lane corridor, the motorway will ease traffic on the M-2, lower transport costs, and support faster movement of both commuters and freight. Integrated with the M-11 and M-12 motorway projects, it is projected to boost regional trade, strengthen economic activity, and improve connectivity to major cities and international corridors linking Central Asia, Afghanistan, and China. Analysts suggest that such infrastructure development can drive long-term economic growth and urban expansion.
