LESCO cracks down on power theft in Lahore, illegal connections disconnected

Lahore: Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) conducted an anti-theft operation in Satokatla village under its Central Circle, targeting illegal electricity connections. The operation, led by SE Jamshed Zaman and SDO Engineer Town Tajammal Dogar, involved checking more than 35 connections. During the inspection, seven connections were found involved in direct supply electricity theft. Authorities issued detection bills of over 11,500 units to the violators and initiated legal proceedings against them. Illegal cables, meters and one LT line were disconnected on the spot. LESCO officials stated that the crackdown against electricity theft will continue without discrimination to ensure fair usage and reduce system losses.
