LDA Seals 78 Illegal Commercial Properties

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has intensified its crackdown on illegal commercial buildings and properties with unpaid commercialisation fees, sealing 78 properties across multiple areas of the city. Acting on the directions of DG LDA Tahir Farooq, teams from the Town Planning Wing carried out operations in Gulberg, Faisal Town, Gulshan Ravi and Allama Iqbal Town. According to officials, properties were sealed for unauthorised commercial use and non-payment of commercial fees. The sealed units include private schools, hospitals, banks, colleges, laboratories, restaurants, property offices, clinics, pharmacies, shops and offices. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Chief Town Planner Asad-uz-Zaman, with support from the Enforcement Wing, LDA security and police. Authorities stated that indiscriminate action against violations will continue.
