LDA seals 213 properties, retrieves plots in major crackdown

Muhammad Muzamil Awan : Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has carried out a large-scale operation against illegal constructions and commercial misuse, sealing 213 properties across multiple areas while retrieving three plots from land grabbers. Operations were conducted in LDA Avenue One, Jubilee Town, Gulberg, New Garden Town, Ali Town, Defence Road, Shadman, Gulshan Ravi, Allama Iqbal Town, and Sabzazar. Illegal encroachments were removed, including unauthorized parking on green belts and illegal access routes. Authorities stated that properties were sealed due to building code violations and non-payment of commercial fees. The crackdown included schools, bakeries, clinics, shops, and offices. Officials reiterated a zero-tolerance policy and confirmed that strict actions will continue against violators.
