LDA seals 181 properties over illegal commercial use

Muhammad Muzamil Awan : Lahore: The LDA Town Planning Wing has intensified action against illegal constructions, unauthorized commercial buildings, and commercial fee defaulters on the directions of DG LDA Tahir Farooq. During operations in different schemes and LDA-controlled areas, teams demolished several illegal structures and sealed 181 properties. Action was taken on Raiwind Road, Defence Road, Canal Road, Gulshan Ravi, Gujjarpura, Shadman, Gulberg, Model Town, Gul Daman Scheme, College Road, and Mustafa Town. Sealed properties include private schools, academies, pharmacies, clinics, grocery stores, marble stores, building material shops, hardware stores, restaurants, offices, and other commercial units. Such enforcement directly affects real estate compliance, commercial approvals, and urban planning discipline. Will strict action bring more transparency to Lahore’s property market?
