LDA enforces digital-only property transactions from July 1

Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has directed that from July 1, 2026, property transactions in all housing schemes within its jurisdiction will only be conducted through the Property Certificate system. Private housing societies are required to transfer all their records to the Housing Societies Management System (HSMS) by June 30. The system includes QR codes on property certificates, providing full information at a single click. Officials emphasized that strict compliance is mandatory and legal action will be taken against violators. The initiative is expected to increase transparency, prevent irregularities, and boost investor confidence in Lahore’s real estate sector.
