LDA Demolishes 10 Illegal Buildings, Seals 50 Properties in Lahore

On the directives of DG LDA Tahir Farooq, the Lahore Development Authority’s Town Planning Wing intensified its crackdown against illegal constructions, unauthorized commercial buildings, and commercial fee defaulters across Lahore.During operations in multiple schemes and LDA-controlled areas, enforcement teams demolished 10 properties and sealed 50 others. The action covered areas including Khaira Distributary, IEP Town, Defence Road, Mohafiz Town, Punjab University Town, New Garden Town, Gulberg, Shadman, Sabzazar, and Allama Iqbal Town.Illegal schools, shops, commercial halls, under-construction structures violating approved building plans, and unauthorized commercial uses were removed or sealed. Several properties were also sealed during recovery operations for non-payment of commercial fees.The operation was supervised by Chief Town Planner-I Asad uz Zaman and Chief Town Planner-II Azhar Ali. LDA officials confirmed that action against illegal commercial activities will continue without discrimination.
