Lahore Removes 1,518 Encroachments in Ongoing Crackdown

The Lahore district administration, led by Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza, has intensified its anti-encroachment campaign to transform Lahore into an “Encroachment-Free City” under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.According to Handout No. 16588, district teams carried out operations across key locations in the past 48 hours, removing 1,518 encroachments and taking down 2,925 illegal advertising materials contributing to visual pollution.DC Musa Raza directed officials to immediately clear all obstacles affecting traffic flow and ensure that footpaths in markets and commercial areas remain accessible to pedestrians. He reaffirmed the government’s zero-tolerance policy against the encroachment mafia, stating the crackdown will continue without discrimination until every violation is removed.Citizens can lodge complaints through the DC Office Control Room (03070002345) or official social media channels. The administration says these consistent efforts reflect its commitment to making Lahore cleaner, safer, and more visually appealing.
