Lahore Becomes 2nd Most Polluted City Again

Lahore has once again been ranked the second most polluted city in the world, as air quality across Pakistan continues to worsen. According to the latest AQI data, New Delhi remains the world’s most polluted city with an extremely hazardous AQI of 702. Lahore recorded an AQI of 353, a level considered highly dangerous for public health. Other major Pakistani cities reported alarming pollution levels as well: Gujranwala at 934, Faisalabad at 491, Multan at 228, and Peshawar at 172. Environmental experts have urged citizens to take precautionary measures, avoid unnecessary outdoor activities, and wear masks when stepping outside. The persistent smog is raising serious health concerns and highlighting Pakistan’s urgent need for long-term environmental solutions.
