Labour Day rally held in Lahore honoring workers contributions

Muhammad Muzamil Awan: Lahore: A Labour Day rally and ceremony was held in Township under the leadership of Uzma Amir Butt, Chairperson Nawaz Sharif Lover Group, to honor workers and highlight their contributions. The event was attended by MPAs Kanwal Liaquat Awan and Rashda Lodhi, who emphasized the importance of workers in national development. Speakers paid tribute to Chicago’s labor movement and acknowledged efforts by the Punjab government to support workers through ration cards, free healthcare, and transport facilities. This initiative under the Social & Industry Cluster reflects community engagement and welfare awareness. For Lahore and Punjab, such events promote recognition of labor rights and social support.
